Planned Plarent
Planned Plarent is a product design tool to help keep your plants happy while making you learn about them. The app gives an easy way to get to know any type of plant with a snap of a picture and allow you to determine to add it to your plants and get to know them more. Users can equip a plant buddy with their new plant and be able to track their health: soil, food, and watering. Happy Plants mean there are happy Plarents.
The Challenge
Plant Hobbyists don’t become good plant parents over night. It takes time and patience. The problem is plant lovers, admirers tend to kill their plants or don’t really know exactly what they are doing.
Solution
Planned Plarent is a tool to help plarents keep their plants happy, healthy and be able to do it right from their phone. It is also an educational app that allows people to learn about plants, and flora alike.

Research & Process
There are about 391,000 species of vascular plants currently known to science, of which about 369,000 species (or 94 percent) are flowering plants, according to a report by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in the United Kingdom. Plants hold a special meaning between cultures and religion. They can heal, be used as medicine, for food and with many more uses. A lot of plants are used for cleaning air pollution in people’s home which estimated 33.1 million in households.
